Swajas Air Charters cuts IPO price band Rs 84-90 a share & and extended the issue till 5th Oct
After receiving a poor response to its initial public offer (IPO) due to volatile market conditions, Swajas Air Charters has cut the price band of initial share sale offer to Rs 84-90 a share and extended the issue by five more trading sessions.
The company said that the price band has been revised to Rs 84-90 per share as against Rs 90-100 fixed earlier for its IPO of 44.64 lakh shares, according to the information available with the National Stock Exchange.
Further, it said the issue would close on October 5 instead of earlier closing day of September 28.
Analysts said that despite weak market conditions, there was no doubt that investors were ready for quality IPOs.
"The market condition is very volatile but good IPOs are always in demand. I think aggressive pricing issue was the main reason for revising the price-band," Geojit Financial Services Research Head Alex Mathew said.
Swajas Air Charters' IPO, which opened on September 26, has a low subscription of 0.01 times till 1600 hrs today. The company has received bids for 65,640 shares, compared with 4.464 million shares on offer.

PG Electroplast touched an intraday high of Rs 493.95 and an intraday low of Rs 376.25. At 15:29 hrs the share was quoting at Rs 493.95, up Rs 82.30, or 19.99%.
There were pending buy orders of 524,012 shares, with no sellers available. It was trading with volumes of 7,291,380 shares.
In the previous trading session, the share closed at Rs 411.65.

Shares of Pipavav Defence and Offshore Engineering Company today plunged by over 4 per cent after the government put on hold a joint venture between the private shipbuilder and state-run Mazagon Dock to build warships and submarines.
Ignoring the bullish trend in the market, the company shares made a weak opening and closed 4.42 per cent lower at Rs 77.80 on the BSE. Intra-day, the scrip fell by 5.28 per cent to a low of Rs 77.10.
On the NSE, the scrip closed 4.98 per cent down at Rs 77.20 a piece.
The joint venture between the state-owned Mazagon Ltd and Pipavav Shipyard to build warships and submarines through public-private partnership mode was put on hold by the Government in the wake of complaints by some companies.
The Defence Ministry has put the JV on hold till the time government comes up with a new policy.

Elder Pharmaceuticals today said its shareholders have approved a final dividend of 30 per cent for the financial year ended March 31, 2011.
Shareholders at the company's annual general meeting (AGM) held today have approved a final dividend of Rs 3 per share of Rs 10 face value (30 per cent) for the fiscal ended March 31, 2011, Elder Pharma said in a statement.
The company's shareholders have also approved the appointment of Alok Saxena as Joint Managing Director (JMD) of the company for a period of five years, effective from August 12, 2011, it added.
Prior to his appointment as JMD, Alok Saxena was working as Director, International Marketing, in the company, it said.
The shareholders also approved the re-appointment of Joginder Singh Juneja, Eduardo Richter and Urvashi Saxena as directors of the company.
